The founding of philoro EDELMETALLE is based on the idea of establishing a bank-independent precious metals trading company. philoro represents a long-standing family tradition closely linked to the precious metals business. The team possesses many years of extensive and in-depth experience in global precious metals trading and international investment management.
Rudolf Brenner
Managing Partner of philoro EDELMETALLE GmbH
Rudolf Brenner was born in 1976 in Leipzig and has been working in the investment sector since 2000, including positions at Deutsche Bank, Dale Investment Advisors, and Bankhaus Vontobel. He is an advocate of the Austrian School of Economics. To realize his idea of an independent precious metals trading house, he co-founded philoro PRECIOUS METALS GmbH with René Brückler.
René Brückler, M.A.
Managing Partner of philoro EDELMETALLE GmbH
René Brückler was born in 1976 in Vienna and has been working in the investment sector since 1998, including 11 years at Erste Bank. His affinity for precious metals and extensive knowledge of commodity markets encouraged him, together with Rudolf Brenner and Mark Valek, to co-found philoro EDELMETALLE GmbH.
Albert C. Johnston III
Director of Sales and Marketing
Albert C. Johnston, III was born in Los Angeles in 1952 and studied music theory/composition at the University of Hawaii. His career started in 1974 in the marketing side of the wholesale diamond/jewelry industry. Since 1995 he has been in sales, marketing and promotion of physical precious metals investments in bullion bar/coin form to private investors and high net worth individuals on a physical delivery, ensured depository storage and retirement accounts basis throughout North America. In November 2022 he joined philoro USA, Inc. in developing the American market through their New York office. Mr. Johnston has a combined 51 years of experience in marketing hard tangible physical assets.
Ygal Delouya
Head of Trading & Logistics
Ygal Delouya was born in Morocco in 1975 and studied mechanical engineering abroad, developing the analytical discipline and systems mindset that define his leadership style. He began his career in 2001 in the refining sector, quickly advancing into senior roles overseeing large-scale international operations. Over the years, he has earned a reputation for combining technical expertise with disciplined execution and strategic market awareness. In April 2023, Ygal joined philoro USA Inc. as Head of Trading and Logistics, where he leads global trading activities and manages complex logistics networks across dynamic precious metals markets. His leadership philosophy centers on integrity, resilience, and partnership. Ygal believes sustainable success is built on accountability, long-term relationships, and steady decision-making under pressure, continuously driving operational excellence and long-term value in the precious global metals industry.
Tijana Hasslacher
Director of Operations
Tijana Hasslacher was born in 1975 in Vienna, Austria and holds a master’s degree from the University of Applied Sciences – Austria. Shortly after completing her studies, she joined the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, where she served as Commercial Attachée in the offices in Bratislava, Slovakia and Belgrade, Serbia. Following her tenure at the Chamber of Commerce, Tijana spent more than ten years as an International Project Manager, followed by a role in Treasury Management within a multinational group of companies. In August 2022, Tijana joined philoro USA as Director of Operations. In this role, she oversees business operations, finance, legal, and compliance affairs ensuring operational excellence, sound governance, and sustainable growth across the company.
